Hookless Partial Dentures

Many times, missing teeth are replaced with partial dentures. Most partial dentures are held in with metal clasps (hooks) that are unattractive, trap food, cause gum problems and loosen up over time so the partial denture is loose in the mouth.

Dr. Bloom prefers to use other methods to retain the partial denture so it will be both esthetic, tight and secure. Utilizing either dental implants or precision attachments a partial denture can be secured without the unsightly clasps. Using dental implants also has the advantage of retaining needed bone and having a snap-lock that allows the partial denture to be retained without any food-trap areas.
